Why was the Declaration of Independence made?

the declaration of independence was made to show that the colonies were tired of being taxed because the British and the parliament used money to fight an unfair war. They also wanted to be a state and by their self (not owned) So they decided to make up a declaration to avoid a war against British and parliaments "men".

The declaration of independence was a risky task because they knew their was going to be a price to pay which was death. John Hancock was the biggest signature on the declaration because it was a way of saying screw you parliament I'm going to stand up for what i believe in and no one not even you people will stop me.

As a way of saying well we want to be on our own was why the declaration is and was made. That's how the 50 states came to be.
