Yes. Suboxone is a synthetic opiate, and you become addicted to it just like any other opiate drug. Going cold turkey from it is no fun at all. That's one of the reasons that suboxone replacement therapy is not a good idea. If a person runs out, they are likely to turn back to heroin or other opiates to avoid the withdrawal syndrome.
