A job for Mr. Bell. She should have called up MMle Forestier ( owner of the lost item- immediately upon return from the party- when she noticed it was gone. Fatal pride- or maybe- well let us be real... she might have been drunk.. Senator Kennedy waited nine long hours ( to sober up) to report the Chappaquidick accident- while Mary Jo Kopechne was helplessly drowning- and it didn't happen fast like a gunshot. It has been estimated the poor girl was struggling for life at least four hours after the accidental (?) crash. Pride goeth before the Fall. Here pride cost a young woman"s life- far graver than a wearing copy of a necklace. Maybe Mme Loisel ( called also Mathilde in the story- was DRUNK>
