What is IrCOM?

IrCOM, or Infrared Communication, refers to a technology that enables data transmission using infrared light waves. It is often used in short-range communication between devices, such as remote controls, wireless peripherals, and mobile devices. IrCOM facilitates peer-to-peer communication by allowing devices to exchange data without needing a physical connection or line of sight. Although it has been largely replaced by more advanced wireless technologies, it still finds niche applications in certain contexts.
