What do you learn about each of Jonas family members from his her sharing of feelings after dinner?

I learned that Jonas's father and mother are very understanding about Jonas being nervous for the Ceremony of 12. I also learn that Jonas's sister is impatient and always eager. For example, she was squirmy in her chair for her turn to come in the sharing of feelings. Plus, Jonas's parents weren't upset or embarrassed when Jonas admitted he was nervous about the Ceremony of 12.
