Is African music mixed with rock music?

All modern pop, rnb, hip hop and Rock Music originated in Blues, which has its origins in the deep south, where (at its most basic and original level) it was created by African American slaves using 'field calls' to pass the time whilst working. This them transformed into Blues, Jazz and Reggae music and, over time, has transformed into Pop, Trance, Techno, Hip Hop, Rap, Heavy Metal and Rock.
