Stretching is a very long process and must be done with a great deal of care to prevent tearing the piercing. If your piercings are 14g now you want to move up one gauge at a time, once every 30 days, no faster. Even if you think you can do it, don't or you will wind up like all the other morons with buggered up ear lobe stretching Yes I said morons. In body piercing there are traditionalists and morons, traditionalists listen to the body piercer and use common sense and do it right. Morons just want big ear lobe piercings yuck yuck, they tend to jump gauges and damage the tissue and then say things like," gee no one told me that would happen", when they look at the two cat's butts on the ears when they remove the jewellery. Youre not a moron because you bothered to ask for help, (smart move) so we will move on.
So spend your time and money wisely, be smart (not a moron) and go to your body piercing studiOS and talk to a few old school body piercers and get the right stuff and the right jewellery. Skip the on-line stores the jewellery is generally junk and way too over priced to make sense for what you are getting. Most body piercers will have a stretching program where they will help you do the stretch and make sure you don't screw anything up. So with those pearls of wisdom go forth, stretch safely, and keep it clean.

If you can't find a body piercing studio near you, a good tatoo shop should have some knowledgeable folks to help you out.
