Common types of worms in dogs?

The three most common types of worms in cats are tapeworms, roundworms and hookworms. You can do a simple google search to find images and treatment options for each kind of worm. Roundworms are thin and have been said to resemble spaghetti and are sometimes seen in the cat's feces or vomit. Tapeworms are thin, flat, and segmented - they're the worms that can sometimes be seen sticking out of the cat's anus. And finally, hookworms usually aren't seen, but are indicated by blood in the cat's stool. If you at all suspect that your cat has worms, it's in your best interest to take him/her to the vet for a sure diagnosis.
