What is edible packaging?

Edible packaging

is made of film or coating that contains the waxes made of various

edible materials. That taste same like the original product and

keep moisture and maintains the freshness of product. This concept

was being made more advanced at Oregon State University's

department of Food Science and Technology; scientists have come up

with an edible wrap comprised of crab and shrimp shells, protein

from egg whites and lysozyme.
