Do children in china believe in Santa Claus?

Christmas has been recently adopted as a celebration by China but it has imported from the West and is viewed in a different way to the Western tradition.

Although Santa Claus is part of the celebration, his story and relevance has not been passed down through generations as it has been in the West. It is unlikely that children in China are brought up believing in Santa Claus in the same way that Western children do. Nonetheless, it seems that Santa can be seen with his helpers in many shopping malls in the run up to December 25th across China.
