I also have this problem. my doctor attributed it to the high that vicodin causes. The excess heat you feel might be keeping you up. You might be uncomfortably itchy. Even the body high itself could be drawing focus and keeping you from relaxing. One thing that I always noticed is my heartbeat. The body high seems to spread a mild numbness over my entire body and my heartbeat becomes very profound. If you notice this, even subconsciously, it can be off-putting and prevent you from sleeping.
