A 2 stroke Carb works the same as a 4 stroke

you have the fuel lines feeding into a float bowl

the float valve controls how much fuel enters the bowl

from there the fuel enters a jet and that jet sprays the fuel into whats called a venturi (walls of the carb get thinner as to increase air flow) and that mixes the air and fuel together

right above the jet is the air intake, where the choke is located

(in case you don't know, the choke, when closed, cuts off most of the air flow which increases suction, making the air/fuel mixter rich.meaning more gas than air....opposite of that is lean....more air than gas)

after mixed the air/fuel mixture hits the throttle plate (controlled by the throttle)...opened, the plate is vertical, letting in the most air/fuel mix it can, and almost closed (it cannot be completely closed as it would starve the engine of fuel) it lets the least amount...this is normally idle

after that the muxture goes down the carb throat and into the combustion chamber

and that's a carburetor
