Where can a mosquito be found?

Mosquitoes lay eggs in small ponds or pools of water. For example bird baths, children's play pools, and buckets of rainwater are perfect places for mosquitoes to lay their eggs.

There need not be a lot of water. Old beer cans, jar lids, flower pots and similar places can harbor quite a crop of mosquitoes. Check the area around your home for such containers, and empty them out or remove them to cut down on the number of skeeters. If you have a pond, a few fish -- especially wild minnows -- will do the job.
