The book and page refers to the deed book and page number where the recorded deed can be found in the land records. It can also be referred to as the title reference for the property. In a more general sense book and page number reflects the volume (book) and page in the local official records office for all official records within that jurisdiction. A book and page number can reference more than just deeds, but would also include other documents such as easements, agreements, mortgages, plats, etc. The official records office, often but not always run by the clerk of the court in what ever county the property is located, is where all documents are recorded for public notice.
