How do you make a can crusher?

You need leverage. Find something like a 1X1 piece of angle steel, and mount it to something with a single loose bolt at one end. The can to be crushed should be located near the pivot, and the other end of the angle piece will be the handle. I would think about 36" (1 meter) would be long enough.
