Is American water safe for English to drink?

Water in almost all small and large American cities is very safe. Water is regulary tested for parasites and other inclusions as it is highly controlled by the FDA. Private water producers are very concious about their reputation, hence they cannot afford a water-borne issue.

However, during and after a heavy flood, it is not advisable to drink any city water until the city officials make sure it is safe.
