The characters in brothers in arms are:
- Martin Luna (the young man that loses his little brother.
- Mr Mitchell (English teacher who encourages him to change his life.
- Vicky ( the girl he meets when he arrives at Bluford high, the girl he is likes.
- Eric (a boy from Bluford martin's friend.
- Frankie( Martin's best friend who looks out for him through his gang association and the one who also got his brother killed from a drive-by shooting that occurred.
- Martin's mother's that she loses her youngest son. She is trying to save her only son that she has left.
