Yes, Naruto is an orphan He lives by himself because his mother died in the war and his dad (The 4th Hokage) sacrificed his life to seal the kyuubi in Naruto's belly.

Naruto is an orphan however I have seen on YouTube an actual Naruto book where it says that the 4th Hokage is indeed his father and that the 4th Hokage is still alive.
