Is Pamida and Shopko owned by same company?

Pamida and Shopko were both owned by the same parent company, Shopko Stores, Inc. However, Pamida was acquired by Shopko in 2012, and the Pamida stores were subsequently rebranded as Shopko Hometown stores. As of 2019, Shopko filed for bankruptcy and closed its stores, leading to the dissolution of both brands.
