Why is the squirrel monkey called a squirrel monkey?

The Word Squirrel is from the Latin Word "Sciuris" which originally came from the ancient Greek Word, "Skiouros". It means "shadow-tailed" and refers to its bushy tail which it uses for shade, protection from rain, balance, and as a shield or bait when fearing attack.
