How to install audio devices?

HARDWARE:
- open the computer case
- insert the soundcard into a free slot in the computer
- connect additional wiring (if needed)
- close the computer case

SOFTWARE:
- you need the drivers for the soundcard, they usually come on a CD or you can download them from the manufacturers website (note that they might be zipped, so you need to extract them first)
- if the drivers have an installer with them, run the installer
- read the instructions that come with the drivers (if available)
- if no installer available, go to "add hardware" in the control panel
