Paul Cézanne and Vincent Van Gogh never met in person. Although they were contemporaries and both associated with the Post-Impressionist movement, their paths did not cross. Cézanne was based in Aix-en-Provence, while van Gogh spent much of his time in the south of France, particularly Arles and Saint-Rémy. Their artistic careers overlapped, but there is no record of a direct encounter between the two.
