What kind of art did ewan uglow do?

Ewan Uglow painted the human body in oils and was largely unknown outside of Brittain. His work beautifully uses traditional meathods of proportion but with modern paint application and use of space. He could be classified as a modernist figurative painter. He painted with a very human sensitivity and it will be interesting to see in time how art history places him.
