What is Pygmy Sperm whale's life cycle?

The pygmy sperm whale has a life cycle that begins with gestation lasting about 10 to 12 months, typically resulting in a single calf. Calves are born measuring around 2.5 to 3.5 feet in length and are nursed by their mothers for several months. Maturity is reached at around 8 to 10 years of age, and the lifespan of pygmy sperm whales can extend to about 20 years in the wild.
