2006 Grand Prix GXP how replace the cabin filter?

First turn on the wipers then shut them off with the key when they are over the drivers side of the windshield. Open the hood and remove plastic rivets that hold down the passenger side black plastic cowl cover. Remove the plastic cowl cover to expose the cabin filter. Vacuum area of debris before removing the cabin filter so as to keep the debris from dropping down into the HVAC blower squirrel cage. Now remove the filter and install the new one with care as not to bend it up.
