What crazy things did Turkmenbashi do?

Turkmenbashi, the late president of Turkmenistan, was known for his eccentric and often bizarre antics, including declaring himself the "Father of All Turkmen" and establishing a personality cult around himself. He renamed months of the year and days of the week after himself and his family members. He also commissioned a gold statue of himself that rotated to face the sun and mandated that his book, "Ruhnama," be studied in schools and government institutions. Additionally, he famously banned Ballet, circus performances, and even certain types of music, promoting a strictly controlled cultural environment.
