The opening of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) was delayed after the first plane crashed into the World Trade Center's north tower, and trading for the day canceled after the second plane crashed into the South Tower. NASDAQ also canceled trading. The London Stock Exchange and other stock exchanges were also evacuated.
