My 2000 voltswagon jetta is really loud what could be wrong?

Hi there, Im so sorry to hear about your VW Jetta going down the pan - ive been through this myself and you know what they say - a vw lost is a vw lost! Im afraid theres not much i can do - could it be out of petrol?
