The Blackfeet tribe traditionally trapped a variety of animals for food, clothing, and trade. Commonly trapped animals included beavers, which provided fur for clothing and blankets, as well as deer and elk for their meat. They also captured smaller game like rabbits and birds. Trapping was an essential part of their subsistence lifestyle, allowing them to utilize the Natural Resources of the plains and foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
