In the Twilight books who is the leader of James' coven?

James is the leader of his coven.

At first i thought it was laurent but its not, it's James. Sadly they all die by the end of the third book. i don't really care for Victoria. i really only like James because he's hot! and i like laurent because he really wasn't a bad guy, and he was cool. Poor Irina. AWWWWW just thinking about her makes me sad! :(
