How many people die in hospitals each year?

There are roughly 8000 hospitals in America and on average 500 inpatients per hospital daily...that equals 4 million patients daily in American hospitals..

...I'm not sure if that's not correct because that would mean 1,460,000,000 a year. There's only about 400,000,000 in America
