Blue tangs, like many marine fish, are independent from a young age. After hatching, larvae are planktonic and drift with ocean currents, relying on their instinct and natural camouflage to evade predators. They feed on small plankton and algae, gradually growing and developing the skills needed to thrive in their environment. This early independence helps them survive without parental care.
