Where inTrinidad did theArawaks live?

The Arawaks inhabited various regions of Trinidad, primarily along the northern and eastern coastal areas. They established settlements near rivers and in fertile areas conducive to agriculture. Notable locations included the Caroni and Orinoco River basins, where they cultivated crops and engaged in fishing. Their presence can still be traced in some place names and archaeological sites throughout the island.
