Can you give your dog your allergy medicine?

You should only do this on the instructions of the vet. They need to tell you the proper dose for your dog. Dosage must be calculated using formulas for each medicine that is based dog size, such as on milligrams per kilogram of dog weight. Don't try to do this yourself, overdoses of allergy medicines can be serious. Contact your vet first.

You will also need your vet to examine the dog to be sure the problem is Allergies and not something else that needs different treatment. Other problems can cause the same or similar symptoms, such as bordetella (kennel cough), distemper is another, etc..
