What is the biopsy when the entire lesion is removed?

When the entire lesion is removed for examination, it is referred to as an excisional biopsy. This procedure not only allows for a definitive diagnosis by providing the complete tissue sample but also often serves as a treatment by eliminating the lesion altogether.
