Did John Denver serve in Vietnam?

No, he did not. At he age of 16 Denver was mowing a lawn and slipped and his right foot went under the mower and cut off his big toe and part of the toe next to it. You MUST have 10 fingers and 10 toes to serve in the American Military. His father was one of the first Air Force pilots when the Air Force was formed from the Army Air Corps. This is where John Got his love for flying!

Also his eyesight was about 40/400 so this would have also kept him out of any branch of the service.
