Of course it is, and like with anything else in life, in moderation. Ajinomoto is used in many Japanese dishes as a flavor enchancing agent "aji" meaning flavor and "moto" meaning substance. Since Japanese have once of the healthiest daily diets and use Ajinomoto in many dishes it is point in fact that it is safe for health, in moderation. It is much like salt, a little can help, but alot all the time can really harm your health.
