Can you return a baby snapping turtle to the wild after keeping it for a month?

Yes if it is in good health and if local laws allow you can release it in the same place you took it from. If it was in captivity longer it should be taken to a wildlife rehabilitation center to make sure it is healthy, will not spread any diseases from feeder fish etc.
