Do sparrow tattoo symbolize being gay?

It depends where you get them. I wanted to get one once and wondered the same question. I was told by the tattoo artist that a lot of people get them on the back of their hands which doesn't illustrate your sexual preferences, however, if you get one somewhere near your crotch it can be thought of as meaning you are homosexual according to some generations. I don't think it is as relevant today but I played it safe anyway and got it on my forearm!
