When using direct quotations in your writing?

If you're talking in a news article or something formal, then use it best as you talk from a person related to topic eg. farms= farmer is direct and queen isn't... or you can use it for research when you EXPLAIN what happened and NOT AT ALL EVER when describing because that is a HUGE mistake!
