Do you need to cite an anonymous poem?

It is a question of etiquette. All poems have authors, but sometimes their names would not be known. Just cite the person as An Anonymous Author, which would be the proper way of doing justice and paying her or him respect.

And in any event, it would be a serious breech of ethics, taste and honor to give the appearance that the poem is an original work of yours.
