First you want to make sure you have what's called a No Chip Manicure. A No Chip Manicure is a gel base that is applied to the natural nail bed (you can add extensions). An actual No Chip Manicure is NOT acrylic and it does not require a drill to remove.

There are several no chip manicure products available on the market (Bio Sculpture Gel, OPI Axxium. Shellac, Gelous etc). The majority of them require that you remove the top gel (sealant gel) by buffing off the sealant gel with a file. Take a peice of cotton (not the entire cotton ball) and dip into 100% acetone (not nail polish remover there is a difference). Then take a small peice of aluminum foil and wrap your fingers with the cotton soaked in acetone. You can add a hot towel or heating pad on top of your hands to speed up the process. Wait 10-15 minutes and then remove the No Chip Manicure with orange wood stick.

Shellac on the other hand only require that you just wrapped the nails in the cotton and acetone without removing the top gel. Pretty fast removal.

Stubborn to remove spots please use any type of oil to push away or just re-wrap the finger. After you finish softly remove any access with a block buffer (yellow buffers are perfect for this). Wash your hands and then add oil to your cuticles with hand lotion.

Remember tough spots may need to be re-wrap if all fails please return to the nail shop and ask them to safely remove your No Chip Manicure.
