Can you learn parapsychology and how?

Parapsychology is a science devoted to research into the nature of human perception and related matters. The research is primarily conducted in academic settings. Most research parapsychologists hold advanced degrees in fields such as psychology, philosophy, physics and mathematics. There is an emphasis both on qualitative and quantitative research methods in the field.

In order to be a productive member of this global family, one must have research experience. This includes training in research design, controls, methods, procedures and analysis. while some internships are available around the world, by far these skills are learned in other disciplines and transitioned to Parapsychology research.

Experience 'ghost hunting' or possessing any form of 'certification' does NOT qualify an individual as a parapsychologist. The best course is to read the published journals such as the Journal of Parapsychology and take an undergraduate or on-line course offered by a name Parapsychologist working in the field.

Most research parapsychologists are members of the Parapsychological Association (PA).
