What happens if a flowering plant has light for more than 12 hours?

It depends on several things. Length of time of overexposure, intensity of light, etc...

If it's just a few mins, or even an hour just ONE time, the flowering plant won't likely be harmed. Slight hormonal disturbances are still possible, however.
