Shrews typically have a life cycle that includes four main stages: birth, juvenile, adult, and reproduction. After a gestation period of about three weeks, female shrews give birth to a litter of 3 to 10 young, which are born blind and hairless. The young shrews grow rapidly, weaning at around three weeks and reaching sexual maturity within a few months. They can live up to 1-2 years in the wild, depending on species and environmental factors.
