What is the difference between Jaguar xjs and Jaguar xj40?

well fist of all the xjs is a two door V-12 and the xj40 is a four door. also the xj40 was supposed to be a newer and better xj6 but in my opinion the xj40 with those square headlights and boxy look is one of the ugliest jaguars ever built. "just not a looker"
