A boost bottle catches the mixture of oil, petrol and air, that has been forced back in to the carburetor, preventing it from getting to much fuel and not enough air.
Becouse a two-stroke engine will push back a little of the mixture in to the carburetor, and then it will get more fuel added, so you will end up with to much fuel, and not enough air, so the combustion won't be perfect, the boostbottle will catch the returning mixture before it get's more fuel in it, and then it will release it back in to the cylinder, ensuring a better combustion.
This will increase performance, and safe fuel.
