it depends on the vampire and how old they are. if there younger and they don't have as much self control and they feel like there's danger they will become protective. if there young then they might but if they have more self control then they are more likely not to. it also depends on how angry or how much trouble there in. the snarling is a way of showing power. it says stay away to the predators
