Sodium nitrate (NaNO₃) is more soluble in water at 20°C than sodium chloride (NaCl). While NaCl has a solubility of about 36 grams per 100 milliliters of water at this temperature, NaNO₃ can dissolve around 92 grams per 100 milliliters. This higher solubility is due to the different interactions between the ions and water molecules in solution.
