Why do hedgehogs swim?

I have 2 hedgehogs, Izzy and Sophie. Izzy is a rare pinto hedgehog while Sophie is a brown hedgehog. They both seem to enjoy swimming, but I don't know about other hedgehogs. These are my first hedgehogs, so I don't know if others like to swim. I live in Alaska too. Hope I helped you!
